A customer shares their link.
Every member gets a referral link of their own, shown on their account page and in the loyalty widget. It belongs to them, not to a campaign.

A friend follows it and orders.
Cascade attributes the order to the link that brought it. Each customer has one live referral at a time, so there is never a fight over who gets the credit.
- Step 3
The sender is credited.
The credit is written with names on it: who referred whom, which order, and what it earned. It pays out in the loyalty points they already collect.

The fastest way to kill a referral program is a customer asking where their credit went and nobody being able to answer. Cascade keeps the answer.
- Every referral has an explicit status, and the admin screen shows the same transitions the API enforces. Nothing moves without a reason attached.
- An attribution that does not qualify is recorded with its outcome rather than silently dropped, so you can see why a credit did not happen.
